Record Sales During Deli's 2015 IRS Event
Thanks to our faithful customers, Wine Country Deli posted record sales durig this year's annual IRS Special event on April 15th.

Deli supervisor Janis Kelley said the deli sold 195 orders of the IRS Special - 15 chicken tenders and 15 JoJos for only $15 on April 15 only.  Customers began lining up early (photo above), and business remained brisk throughout the day. In total, the Grandview deli cooked 3,506 pieces of chicken that day in its 2 fryers.
Customers were encouraged to calll ahead for specific pick-up times, which gave deli staff an idea of how much chicken and when to prepare it.  At one point, there was a 5-man assembly line preparing chicken in the kitchen.
Wine Country Deli is well known throughout the Yakima Valley for its fresh, tasty chicken tenders. The IRS Special event started in 2010 as a spoof on the due date for federal tax returns.
